We are thrilled to be joined by Dr. Emily Hauser, award-winning ancient historian and Times bestselling author of Mythica: A New History of Homer’s World, through the Women Written Out Of It (2025).

Emily Hauser will join us for our inaugural literary salon for an epic evening of food, conversation and the enduring legacy of The Odyssey - and to join us in discussing why the ancient stories still matter today.

This event will begin with a short Q&A and reading from Mythica, followed by a group dinner. There will be time at the end for book signings, photos and mingling.

About Salon Lit

Salon Lit is a curated programme of intimate gatherings where literature, meaningful conversation and dining come together in equal measure. Each event brings together a small group of guests for an elevated dinner party-style evening, with a featured writer joining the table to share ideas and stories.
